How to choose: art, history, a ride or a hands-on show
Pick by what you enjoy most, not by price alone. Each ticket suits a different kind of visitor.
- Art you walk through: pick the Arte Museum if you like light, sound and photos. It is worth it if you enjoy slow walks through art rooms.
- A ride: pick Flyover for a short thrill. It takes about 30 minutes, and riders must be at least 40 inches (102 cm) tall.
- History: pick Titanic for the ship's story, or BODIES for science. Both are at the Luxor.
- A hands-on show: pick the John Wick Experience if you love the films. It is not for children under 16.
- Cars: pick the garage tour to see famous custom cars. Plan half a day.
Arte Museum: what is inside and how long to plan
The Arte Museum uses light, sound and scent to bring digital art to life. Its main show is called "Eternal Nature".
It also shows digital versions of works from the Musée d'Orsay, such as Monet and Van Gogh. The listing says there are 13 spaces in all.
The museum does not say how long a visit takes. Your ticket is valid all day, so you can go at your own pace.
Under-12s must come with a guardian, says the listing.
Combo tickets and ways to save
No discount or combo with the Arte Museum is listed on GetYourGuide. Its ticket is also non-refundable, so be sure of your date.
The cheapest ticket on our list is Flyover, from €26. Flyover, the John Wick Experience and the garage tour all have free cancellation up to 24 hours ahead.
Titanic and BODIES are both at the Luxor, so you can see both in one afternoon. Each one needs its own ticket.
Photo-friendly stops: the Museum of Ice Cream and more
The Museum of Ice Cream is at AREA15, an art and fun complex off the Strip. There is no Museum of Ice Cream ticket on our list.
AREA15's "Art & Quests" area is free, and no ticket is needed. Paid passes start at $31 on AREA15's own site.
Our AREA15 guide, in the list of guides above, covers its tickets and hours.
Titanic, BODIES, Flyover and John Wick Experience
Each of these four is its own ticket. Here is what the listings say about each one.
Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition
The exhibition at the Luxor shows over 250 objects from the ship. Rooms like the Grand Staircase are rebuilt. The ticket is non-refundable.
The listing says it is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with last entry at 5 p.m. No cameras are allowed, and children 3 and under go free.
BODIES: The Exhibition
BODIES is also at the Luxor. It shows real human bodies and organs to explain how we work. Last entry is at 5 p.m.
Under-18s must come with an adult, and children 3 and under go free, says the listing.
Flyover: the flying theater
Flyover feels like flying over famous places. Your seat moves in front of a 52-foot round screen, with wind and mist.
Riders must be at least 40 inches (102 cm) tall. Children 13 and under need someone 14 or older with them. Flyover has two locations, so check the option you pick.
John Wick Experience
The John Wick Experience puts you inside a hotel from the films. You follow its rules, or break one and become a target.
It is not for children under 16. The listing gives its address as 3222 W Desert Inn Rd.
The bigger museums with their own guides
Five more places have their own guides, in the list above. Here is where each one is.
- Mob Museum: Downtown, at 300 Stewart Avenue. It is open daily from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Neon Museum: at 770 Las Vegas Blvd N, north of Downtown. Its timed tickets often sell out.
- Shark Reef Aquarium: at Mandalay Bay, on the south end of the Strip.
- Madame Tussauds: at The Venetian, in the middle of the Strip.
- AREA15: off the Strip, at 3215 South Rancho Dr.
Book ahead or buy at the door, and the best time to go
Book the Neon Museum early, and the others when your plans are set. The Neon Museum sells timed tickets, released 60 days ahead. They often sell out, and there are no refunds. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may lose your slot.
The Arte Museum sells its own tickets through Fever. On GetYourGuide, its ticket is valid all day, so you don't need a set time.
Museums are a good plan for hot summer afternoons. Normal highs reach 99–105°F (37–41°C) from June to August.
For the trip to the Luxor or AREA15 without a car, see our guide to getting around Las Vegas.
