Window seats, weight limits and ID
Every helicopter company here weighs you, and heavier guests may need a second seat. The limits differ by company.
- Maverick: 300 lbs a person; above that, you buy an extra seat. Children 2 and older need their own seat. Adults need a physical REAL ID or passport. Up to 6 guests a flight.
- Papillon: guests of 300 lbs or more buy an extra seat on the day, per the listing.
- West Air: 275 lbs (125 kg) a person and 575 lbs a group. Riders over the limit are turned away without a refund, per the listing. Up to 3 guests, each at a window.
- 5 Star: guests over 250 lbs (113 kg) buy an extra seat, per the listing.
Beyond the Strip: Red Rock and the Grand Canyon
Two longer flights leave the city. Maverick's Red Rock flight lands near the canyon for champagne, and Papillon's West Rim flight lands at the Grand Canyon.
Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon by helicopter
Papillon's VIP flight shows Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and the Colorado River from the air. It departs from Boulder City, and pickup from most hotels is included.
No bags or backpacks are allowed on board, per the listing.
Helicopter or a seat on the ground?
A helicopter shows the whole Strip at once, but it costs from €88 for about 10 minutes. On the ground, you see the lights for less.
For a fraction of the price, an open-top tour bus in Las Vegas covers the same lights from the street. For a view from above without flying, the STRAT tower has a deck high over the Strip.
Before you book a helicopter tour
